  • Computer exposure and knowledge is estimated at 2%

  • Extreme poverty: daily income less than $2 USD per day

  •  35-40% PTSD rate

  • Pollution 

  • No central waste management system

  • High infant mortality

EDUCATION IN KIBERA

  • 60% do not receive a formal education

  • 20% of the youth are at risk of or can be categorized as orphans

    • Global One Kibera Schools enrollment: 50% orphans

  • Few finish the elementary school level successfully
